Living life the LOA way is like riding a roller coaster!
Recently, I went to an amusement park with my lovely 10-year-old daughter. As we took a ride in a roller coaster, I realized, to my big surprise, that this was the first time in my life that I really, really enjoyed it!
Since my childhood, when my father took me for a ride in a roller coaster and I got sick, I was always the one holding all the bags and the coats, while the others went for a ride in the roller coaster.
When my younger daughter was 11, I took her to Disneyland and as she so much wanted a ride in a roller coaster, I finally accepted to go with her – and I survived!
Since that, I have, occasionally, taken roller coaster rides and been OK with it, but I have never really enjoyed it.
So I did a bit of reflection, and I soon realized why it was, all of a sudden, so enjoyable to me to ride a roller coaster– it was because I had finally learned to let go of control and to trust!
I spent the first 27 years of my life mostly feeling like a victim.
When I had my first child, I started taking control of my life. And over the next 20 years I developed into a master control freak.
Since I started learning about the Law of Attraction 2½ years ago, one (of many!) of my major challenges was to learn to let go of control. To not interfere with the “how, when, where” and to trust Universe to figure it out for me.
It has taken me a lot of practice and practice and practice to learn to let go and relax and trust.
Sitting in the roller coaster that day, really enjoying the ride, was for me very clear evidence that I have finally learned the lesson and that letting go of control and to trust that everything is OK is actually extremely enjoyable!
And I see several similarities between living life the LOA way and riding a roller coaster – in order to get good results, you must learn to let go of control, trust that everything will turn out fabulous and enjoy the ride!

I enjoy going to amusement parks and going on the roller coasters! I usually get a rush and really enjoy the sensation of the breeze moving by. Reading this makes me want to go to the theme park today!
